well, i'm a little on the jealous side.. i always here of posters here who seem to personally know each other....of coarse not most.....but many.
just curious who knows who in the flesh?..........well partially covered flesh anyways.. when you meet them for the first time....are they way different than you expected?.
Tink and I have met:
Silentlambs and his son
Joe and Barbara Anderson (even though they are not posters here yet)
Worldly Girl (she's visited us and we met her hubby after an aposta-meet-up)
Noidea and Hubby
Myself and her nieces
RecoveringexJW
I know D Wiltshire from the Borg days and talk to him frequently on the Phone

hey everyone..sorry for the disappearing act.
i got real busy at work and helping tink recover and was just too worn out to post.
i did get on occasionally to read some to stay up with some of the topics.
Thanks for all your concern..I'll be back up and about in a day or two. Some asked what I take for it. I take Prednizone. Only when bad attacks come. The rest of the time I take Celebrex or Naproxen (Prescription). The Prednizone is the only thing that helps at all, but the doctor will only prescribe 100 tablets a year for me. I use them only to fight the bad attacks. As time goes on I hope someone finds a better treatment.
Tink is doing really well. She is at the doctors now for a follow-up after her surgery. She is still alittle sore, but is getting her strength back each day.
She's upset right now due to some news we got about one of her brothers in Fla. He was in a bad car wreck and is going to be in the hospital for quite awhile. An 80 year old women had crossed into his lane while he was going to work and hit him head on doing 50mph. I do not know how fast he was going, but he did not have time to react at all. She had an airbag that prevented her from any injury at all. He however, was not so lucky. He was wearing a seatbelt, which probably saved his life. We found out his left arm and wrist and also his left leg were shattered. The doctors had no choice but to put metal rods in place. The bones were shattered beyond repair. She talked to him by phone, but he was not able to speak too clearly due to the med's for pain.
It's a long story so I'll let Tink explain in more detail later. She wishes she could be down there to help, but some friends who are there told her that right now there is not too much anyone can do. The doctors and nurses are doing what needs to be done to help re-habilitate him.
Thanks to all for your concern
TR your a great friend to us,Thanks! ...Mouthy your a sweet lady hope your doing OK Searchin', Ima, and Sentinel your also great friends to us. Thanks again.

i'm a first time poster.
i'm not a jw.
my wife has been a jw for 5 years now.
Welcome to the board Trybalance. I can't add too much more that wasn't already stated perfectly. Just wanted to say welcome and stick around, your posts are good ones. I look forward to reading more of them.
I will add this however. If you decide to become a baptized witness and later on down the road want to leave you will be in for alot of emotional pain and hurt that alot of us are experiencing due to shunning and selective conditional love. My wife posts here as Tinkerbell. She and I were forced to DA because we would not go to a JC meeting. I had previously discussed our cicumstances with the elders and asked for time to help Tink with her depression from losing her father to suicide and her mother battling cancer. Their answer in short was "to get over it" and let them, not "worldly professionals" help us. Tink has three brothers who were baptized, one DF'ed two faded out gradually, but they celibrate holidays, smoke, and are living life the way they see fit. They are all great guy's. The rest of the family that are active witnesses will still talk to them and have some limited association with them. Tink and I, however, have been totally shunned and no longer have any contact whatsoever with these other siblings. It is inconsistant behavour and selective shunning, hypocritical!
It hurts. Coming here to share in similar experiences helps heal the pain. I hope you never have to personnaly go thru this.

Hey Everyone..Sorry for the disappearing act. I got real busy at work and helping Tink recover and was just too worn out to post. I did get on occasionally to read some to stay up with some of the topics. I am home today from work with a bad arthiritis attack. I get them when the weather changes. We have had some heavy rain here in Tn on and off for a couple weeks and it's finally effecting me. The way I look at it though is I only get down (layed up in bed) a few times a year, and there are some who get totally incapacitated from this disease, so I consider myself fortunate to be able to function fairly normal compared to those who can't. Anyway, I'll be trying to post some as long as I can stand sitting by the computer...=:-)>

well, i talk about my abuse so much i haven't found the need to post it.
i guess i will post it now so i can write it once and not have to keep writing it over and over again.
well, my eariliest memory is of being punished.
((((((((((Jessica))))))))))) Just when you think you heard the worst. My word, I was sick reading that and I can only imagine what it was like to grow up in HELL. I'm sorry for you being treated like that, but I am glad to hear your life is much better now and your dealing with it well. Take care girl.

Hey Jim...Good point. That's a possibilty. That would definatley limit the chance of claims on injury. However, lost time costs money too. So even if they replace the injured with new blood, there is still lost time in doing so. I know you share the same sentiments as I do about the $$$WTS$$$...LOL
